Take your career to the next level
Leadership | Multi-Professional Clinical Skills | Facilitation of Learning | Research
Our Band 6 Professional Development course focuses on progressing what you have learnt in your early part of your career. This course is aimed at established band 5s, new band 6s, those who are looking for their first band 7 job or are newly in a band 7 role.
Our topics are themed around the 4 pillars of practice - leadership, facilitation of learning, research and multi-professional clinical skills (eg communication and teamwork). Development in these 4 areas is essential for creating a well rounded, adaptable workforce, that can use research and quality improvement to implement evidence-based care. Improving in these 4 areas help structure career progression, support advanced practice, and promote professional development. This course embeds NHS and AHP policies, such as the NHS long-term plan, AHP Delivers, and is informed by AHP research, education and digital strategies.
The course is designed by Allied Health Profession specialists, but we recognise the importance of multi-professional learning, so we welcome all professions if you feel the course meets your needs.
